Why Facebook Advertising Works!

So, you’ve got your shiny new Facebook page all set up, you’ve invited all your friends and acquaintances to like it and you’ve shared the link everywhere you can – you must have loads of new likes and followers now, right? Wrong!

Getting your brand out there via social media may seem like an easy (and free!) way of spreading the love, but in reality it can take a little bit more than just asking for likes and shares.

Facebook advertising is a cleverly designed tool that allows you to target your posts for a more precise response.  For example, if you are a small, local retail outlet, specialising in hair and beauty products you can plan your advert to increase hits from your target demographic.

Facebook would allow you to choose to reach woman, between the ages of say 16 -65 who live within a 5 miles radius of your shop location.  It would give you an idea of the potential number of Facebook users your post would reach and give you an option to choose your call to action i.e. go to website, like page etc.

And better still, this doesn’t have to cost a fortune! You can limit the amount of money you spend per day and run the advert campaign for as few or as many days as you wish.  Perhaps try a special offer advert for a week or two, or run a seasonal competition to attract more followers?
